The Enchanting Spring Anime Season of 2022

We're already almost at the end of the 2nd month since the Spring season started and what a season it has been.
Similar to the Spring season of Last year, this season has been absolutely stacked with Animes.
With double the amount of sequels in Winter and over 30 new anime shows, most of which being worthwhile, the season has been highly entertaining in the world of anime.
With most of the biggest hits this season, both returning and new happen to fall into the category of either extreme romance-comedies or colourful fantasies, one can't help but find the dazzling nature of the animes this season to be 'Enchanting'.
Even with the hits in fantasy and other genres, it's an undeniable fact that the fan favorite shows that carried this season are all Slice of Life, most of which being the romantic kind, giving that wholesomeness that defines the spring season.
Standing at the top of all anticipated sequels this season came the third season and return of the modern classic romcom hit, Kaguya Sama: Love is War. The season has been immensely fun as one would expect from a show with a crazy cast and stellar visuals, even though the quality of the comedy and story seems really pale in comparison to it's previous seasons.
Another wildly fun romcom sequel airing this season is the 2nd season of Science Fell in Love, So I Decided to Prove It. The season while more lewd in it's antics continues to deliver that uncanny mix of love and science it's known for.
We also got the anticipated 4th season of the famous romcom fantasy, Date A Live. The season having gone through yet another studio change, with it's ever increasing cast of wild characters and action-packed story manages to deliver loads of fun as other seasons.
As produced by Studio OLM to air on Netflix, one of the most popular romcoms of last year, Komi Can't Communicate made its big comeback this season and it's been the everly wholesome and relieving highschool comedy it's loved to be. With even more colourful characters and hilarious flicks, it's undoubtedly been one of the most enjoyable sequels of this season.
Netflix also released the second seasons of it's two popular mecha anime series, Ultraman and Tiger And Bunny, and they were both as fun and action packed as their first seasons.
We also got the mildly anticipated 3rd season of what's believed to be the one of the best among slice of life Isekai, Ascendance of Bookworm. The show continues to be sweet and wholesome, with a season that shows us more of Myne's experiences in trying to achieve her goal.
Speaking of Isekai, let's not forget the long anticipated 2nd Season of The Rising of The Shield Hero, or should I say 'The Fall of the Shield Hero', because the plot of the season, having gone past the underdog/revenge story that made the show loved, has been nothing short of a dissappointment.
Amongst the relatively least anticipated sequels this season, we got the 2nd Season of Demon Girl Next Door that continues to be a fun ride.
We've also got Kingdom Season 4, Black Rock Shooter Season 2, Build Divide: Code White, Kyoukai Senki 2nd Cour, Kaginado 2nd Season, Black Rock Shooter Season 2, Shadowverse Flame and another addition to the ever-growing franchise of Love Live.
It's truly a season stacked with both hyped and commonplace sequels.
Considering Anime Movies, the most anticipated of them all happened to be the Netflix post-apocalyptic romance, Bubble, written by the legendary Gen Urobuchi and directed by Tetsuro Araki at Wit Studio.
The movie while having Wit Studio's signature stunning visuals, dazzling in even brighter glamour with the soothing music from Hiroyuki Sawano, proved to be a tragic mess in terms of storytelling due to its lack of basic foreshadowing and proper character writing which created more than a few narrative holes.
Amongst other yet to be digitally released anime films that released this season we've got movies from the wholesome romcoms, Quintessential Quintuplets and Karakai Jouzo no Takagi San, and an Odd Taxi movie as well.
Looking into the New Animes this season, we got a season heavily stacked with colourful new shows.
Action, Fantasy, Comedy, Thriller, Sports, Ecchi, Mecha and even Music all exist in this amazing season's lineup, giving us a taste of everything with the impressive feat of having mostly plausible shows.
Instant fan favorites, sleeper hits and underrated gems all exist this season, and I'm here to spill the beans once more by counting down all the best new animes this season has to offer.
TOP 20 BEST NEW ANIMES OF SPRING 2022

20) LOVE ALL PLAY
(Sports, Shounen)

Follow-up to Ryman's Club from Winter this year, we got yet another badminton anime, this time in a highschool setting.
Love All Play tells the story of Ryou Mizushima who loved playing badminton since junior high and got the opportunity to join a prestigious Yokohama Minato highschool badminton team despite his lacklustre abilities, which he indulges after several doubts.
After working hard to get in, he now tries his best to improve his abilities and catch up with his mentor turned teammate, Yusa Kento.
Its a really fun sports anime with a cast of colourful characters as is the norm for a good sports anime, even though the animation quality may not exactly be as visually stunning or energetic as the greats in its genre.

19) THE GREATEST DEMON LORD IS REBORN AS A TYPICAL NOBODY
(Fantasy, Action)

The being known as the most powerful entity in the world, Demon Lord Varvatos gets bored of his elite life and decides to reincarnate as a more normal, less powered human. Now taking the name of Ard Meteor in his new body, he encounters a very weak modern world and is plunged back to the top again in his school life, but he doesn't let it stop him from trying to live a normal life.
Having lots of fights and overpowered flexes, it's a fun and pretty enjoyable anime, but with a story and setting that's a bit too derivative of Misfit of The Demon King Academy, it barely has any worth in terms of creativity.

18) MISS SHACHIKU AND THE LITTLE BABY GHOST
(Comedy, Supernatural)

The story of this supernatural comedy follows Fushihara Sachiku, a salary woman drowning in corporate slavery through her never-ending overtime work, whose life gets a bit brighter when she runs into a little baby ghost at her workplace. The baby ghost cries out for her to 'leave' out of concern for her, but her cuteness ends up motivating Shachiku to work even harder, and the relationship between the two grows into a more loving nature.
Through the description, it's pretty obvious what kind of show this is. A cute, funny and wholesome anime that'll no doubt ease your tension and make you smile.

17) A COUPLE OF CUCKOOS
(Romance, Comedy)

This is a romance comedy which tells the story of straight A highschool student, Nagi Umino and social media star, Erika Amano, who met in a chanced encounter, only to realize they were switched at birth and grew up with the other's parents.
The parents of the two now decide they must get married in order for them all to be related and the love story between this unlikely engaged couple takes flight with other romantic interests in the mix.
For a romcom its really fun and the 'switched and birth' concept feels fresh as it was properly rooted into the story, however it's packed with so much typical romcom tropes in a less-nuanced form, which may be a turnoff to more than a few fans.

16) DANCE DANCE DANSEUR
(Shounen, Drama)

The story follows Junpei Murai who, from a young age developed a passion for ballet dancing after watching his little sister's recital, but after tragically losing his father, Junpei decides to take his advice to become more manly which he did in his teen years by joining the soccer team and learning martial arts at Jeet Kune Do with the intention of following in his footsteps and becoming a stunt coordinator.
His love for ballet is re-kindled when a charming classmate of his, Miyako Gudai recruits him to join her mother's ballet studio where he trains properly to become a prince of the stage one day.
Given that its an anime centered on Ballet, it requires a lot of high quality choreography in order to truly shine, and studio MAPPA handled that exceedingly well, even adding luminius visual displays to each dance. Although it has this high quality production and follows the real world tenets of ballet, its not exactly an anime that's highly appealing given its tone, but still is a pretty amazing show.

15) TRAPPED IN A DATING SIM: THE WORLD OF OTOME GAMES IS TOUGH FOR MOBS
(Fantasy, Action)

After being blackmailed into playing a dating simulator, a lone gamer's efforts pay off as he managed to beat this game he described as a ridiculous and convoluted world.
While making his way to the convenient store he stumbles on the stairs and loses consciousness, seemingly died and reawakens in the very dating simulator world he despised. Bearing the name of Leon Fou Bartfort and accepting his place as a mob character, he uses his knowledge of the game's plot as an advantage to safely navigate its events and characters.
It feels great to get another great Otome Game isekai after Hamefura, but this anime has a much more crazy setting. With magic, mecha and lots of romantic drama to add to the fantasy adventure, this anime certainly doesn't fall short in terms of entertainment. With a cunning main character and a crazy world of action and romance, this is an anime that's certainly worth the watch.

14) HEROINES RUN THE SHOW: THE UNPOPULAR GIRL AND THE SECRET TASK
(Slice of Life, Drama)

The story follows Hiyori Suzumi, a country girl who continued to follow her passion for track and field even after moving out of her home town and enrolling in Tokyo's Sakuragaoka highschool.
There she meets Yujiro Someya and Aizo Shibasaki, popularly known as the Idol group 'LIPxLIP' and comes to despise their unfriendly nature off the stage. A quest for a side job to make ends meet leads her to a huge opportunity, a high paying job which she discovered is actually being the apprentice manager of the LIPxLIP duo she can't stand. Hiyori and the pair now work together and the unlikely friendship blossoms as she navigates the world of Idol management.
Feeling almost like a Japanese Cinderella story, this anime feels seemlessly charming and engaging right from the start. The growing relationship between the trio is properly handled with scenes of character development and cheerful dynamics.

13) DEAIMON
(Slice of Life, Comedy)

The story follows Nagumo Irino, who returns home for the first time in years, still bearing the love and will to inherit his family's sweets shop- Ryokushou, but instead asked to be the father figure to a young girl said to be the chose successor of the sweets shop, Itsuka Yukihira.
The relationship between the pair grow as although their differing character traits set them apart, they both find solitude in their shared love for the sweets of Ryokushou and will to make the business succeed.
Its a really grounded and wholesome story that developes each character gratifyingly well and establishes a beautiful dynamic and growing relationship between the main duo, while giving an insight into the world of Japanese sweets.
The comedy is handled really well, and averse to being intensely dramatic like shows of its kind, it rather has a cool and inviting tone even while being empathic at times.

12) SKELETON KNIGHT IN ANOTHER WORLD
(Action, Fantasy)

The 2nd and most fun Isekai on this list, Skeleton Knight in Another World, similar to the previous Isekai, is centered on a gamer who fell asleep while gaming only to wake up in the very game he was playing, but in the form of a skeleton, equipped with a shining armor, weapons and powerful skills.
Now bearing the name of Arc, with his unlikely new form he seeks a quiet life in this fantasy world, but such dreams where short lived when he runs unto an Elven warrior and his life takes a more adventurous turn.
Like I already implied, this anime is loads of fun, packed with great action and comedy as well. With the skeleton appearance and all, its not surprising to see the comparisons to Overlord, but compared to Ainz, Arc is a much more fun and entertaining character in terms of personality, and the overall tone of this show in more on the bright side because of that. Its a great adventure anime that Isekai fans are bound to enjoy.

11) VAMPIRE IN THE GARDEN
(Supernatural, Action)

Bubble certainly wasn't the only project Wit studio animated for Netflix this season, as the most recently released vampire-action anime, Vampire in the Garden also made its debut this month.
Set in a dystopian world after humanity had lost a war against vampires and its final stronghold being a small city of soldiers determined to take back control from the vampires, the commander's daughter, Momo, who was inadequate on the battlefield sought a life of peace.
While still being forced to participate in the never-ending war against the vampires, her life takes a turn when she meets Vampire Queen, Fine, who also dreamed of peaceful coexistence between the humans and vampires, and together they travel the world in search of Eden, the peaceful world they dream of.
The anime had a lot of amazing qualities, from it's emotionally resonant story to it's spectacularly animated fight sequences and visuals to the well written characters and relationships. With such good qualities it could've been a contender for anime of the season, but 5 episodes could only go so far in developing such a great story.

10) SHIKIMORI'S NOT JUST A CUTIE
(Romance, Comedy)

No doubt the most anticipated new romcom this season is none other than Shikimori's not just a Cutie.
Izumi is a nice teenage kid who has the unfortunate trait of having badluck follow him everywhere he goes, most times in form of harmful accidents, and his girlfriend, Shikimori is a seemingly cute and sweet girl. But Shikimori has a cool dark side that comes out under the right circumstances, almost like flipping a switch that enables her to continually protect him from his repeated misfortunes and impress him as well. The charming love story between the couple blossom as they share more experiences together.
The most intoxicating thing about this anime is how straightforward it is with it's romance. Having main leads who are already in a relationship right from the start allows it to truly highlight how much they love and depend on each other in a wholesome manner devoid of many cheeky romcom tropes. The fact that their traits practically complement each other makes them a compelling ship with genuinely romantic and compelling moments that make every episode a thing of beauty.

9) I'M QUITTING HEROING
(Fantasy, Comedy)

The Non-Isekai Fantasy I found to be most impressive this season happens to be I'm Quitting Heroing, one of the strategic kind that's getting rampant recently, reference to works like How The Realist Hero Rebuilt The Kingdom and The Genius Prince's Guide To Raising A Nation Out of Debt.
The story follows Leo Demonheart, known as the greatest hero who used his overwhelming power to defeat the many threats that challenged Tokyo, particularly the Demon Queen Echidna and her army. Such a feat normally comes with praise and love, but not in Leo's case, as the people were rather scared of his power, and such fear got him banished from the kingdom. Having no place left amongst the humans, Leo decides to join the very demon army he defeated, and posing as the 'Demon Knight Onyx', help the Demon Queen solve her major problems and rebuild her army.
This anime took me by complete surprise with how immersive the story is. Painting a perfect picture of a dark reality where good deeds yield negative reactions, it hits hard thematically, and with a colourful cast it provides entertaining character dynamics and spectacular development to the characters as well as it's world.
The narrative reveals itself to be much deeper than it initially seems in it's recent episodes, making it a show that shouldn't be overlooked this season.

8) AHAREN IS INDECIPHERABLE
(Slice of Life, Comedy)

As yet another highschool romcom this season, Aharen San wa Hakarenai has been nothing short of amazing so far.
The story follows Matsubishi Raido, a first year in highschool who's determined to make friends after a lonely and traumatic life middle school, starting with his seatmate, the cute and tiny Aharen Reina. But upon trying to get close to her, he realizes her awkward traits of being really soft spoken and unable to guage personal space amongst her other complexities. Raido struggles to understand her mannerisms despite them being with friendly intentions, and their friendship blossoms as they spend more time together.
This anime takes a Moe style approach towards it's story, with both the leads having calm yet interesting personalities, their experiences with eachother creates a cool, wholesome vibe despite all the craziness. Goes without saying that it's setting makes it comparable with the popular Komi Can't Communicate, which is fine given the fact that it takes the best qualities of it such as it's genuinely hilarious comedy, wild episodic games and colourful characters while having it's own authentic aura.

7) LOVE AFTER WORLD DOMINATION
(Romance, Comedy)

The anime that stands at the top of all new romcoms this season in my books is none other than the sleeper hit, Love After World Domination.
The story follows the secret love affair between Fudo Aikawa, the 'Red Gelato' and leader of 'Gelato 5', a league of superheros protecting Japan pretty much similar to The Power Rangers in every way possible, and Desumi Magahara, the 'Reaper Princess', a combatant leader of 'Gekko', an evil organization determined to dominate Japan. The couple despite being from opposing sides of a crazy superhero society and having zero experience with romance struggle to make their relationship work without their work partners finding out.
So far as romcoms go this season it doesn't get more charming, hilarious and fun than this anime. An insane superpowered world that makes every episode action packed, add in the cast of crazy and quirky characters, comedic flicks and genuine moments of love between the main couple, and we've got a full package of high quality entertainment with each episode of this amazing show. Another thing that's just intoxicating about it is how it focuses not only on the main couple, but shines light on the other interesting characters and their romantic interests as well, with romcom flicks backed by amusing narration on par with the new season of Kaguya Sama in terms of humor.

6) THE EXECUTIONER AND HER WAY OF LIFE
(Action, Fantasy)

At the top of all Fantasy and Isekais this season we've got The Executioner and Her Way of Life.
In a fantasy world where countless summoned Japanese people have caused many disasters using their uncanny overpowered abilities known as 'Pure Concepts', Priestess Menou is an 'Executioner' from the church whose mission is to kill all otherworlders referred to as 'Lost Ones' in order to prevent the cataclysmic events their abilities cause. Her main target becomes a teenage female who was summoned recently, Akari Tokito weilding the pure concept of Time which prevents her from being killed. Menou befriends and embarks on a journey with her under the pretext of finding a way for her to get home to Japan, with the actual intention of finding a way to kill her.
This is legitimately one of the most creative and authentic Isekai settings that has ever graced the world of anime. It presents a genius twist to the Isekai format we're used to and still manages to present not only a beautifully constructed fantasy world, but an intriguing plot that builds on its revelations and intensity quite masterfully. The power system is the most amazing thing about it, from Magecraft to Pure Concepts, the anime established a magic system so elaborate, that it leaves one mesmerized by it's complexities anytime it's applied. With well animated and choreograhed magic fights and its well paced tone shifts, it's seemlessly entertaining, and undoubtedly the best in it's genre this season.

5) AO ASHI
(Sports, Comedy)

Sports anime fans are sure eating good this year, as to add to all the preceeding hits and the ones yet to come, the anticipated Soccer anime, Ao Ashi made its big debut this season.
In a small rural town, energetic teenager, Aoi Ashito who believes of himself as 'the reincarnation of Cristiano Ronaldo' lives for nothing but soccer. Known for his self centered play style and unpredictable moves, he basically carried his junior high soccer team, at least until during a certain preliminary game, he loses his temper and gets violent on a player, causing them to lose the tournament.
All hope isn't lost for Aoi, as he soon after gets scouted by youth team coach Tatsuya Fukuda to tryout for the Esperion youth Japan team in Tokyo, as part of a project to take Japan to the top of the food chain in soccer again. Ashi takes this offer with the determination to go pro in order to make his dreams come true.
If there's a studio to trust with a sports anime project, it's Production IG, having been at the helm of unforgettable modern classic sports anime hits such as Haikyuu and Kuroko no Baske, the studio has been doing exceedingly well with this adaptation as well. It's refreshing to get a professional soccer setting in anime for once, and the execution of real world soccer principles is done spectacularly in this show. Another thing to really love about it how we got a main character who's aware of and confident in his skills for once, giving him moments of extreme passion during the exhilarating soccer matches of this anime, all making this one of the most energetic and entertaining animes this season.

4) KOTARO LIVES ALONE
(Slice of Life, Comedy)

A Netflix sleeper hit that probably slipped the radar of lots of anime fans this season, Kotaro Lives Alone is here to bring the feels that's been lacking this season.
4 year old Kotaro Sato moves in next door to Shin Karino, an unsuccessful manga artist who comes to realize Kotaro's unusual living condition of living alone, without his parents or a guardian of any form. To even greater surprise to Karino and others in the apartment, Kotaro puts himself together in a more refined manner than even most adults, and while constantly surprised by his eccentricities, they decide to take care of him as much as they can. Its a story of friendship with a lonely kid whose world gets opened up as he gets close with his strange and caring neighbors.
Wholesome doesn't even begin to describe this anime. It's a deeply heartwarming tale of a charming kid with a sad past experiencing the joys of life he never got to experience as he gets close to the people around him. It establishes a refreshing take on growing friendships, with beautiful dynamics between Kotaro and his new peers, particularly the father-son relationship between him and Karino that just makes the episodic experience immensely fun and relieving.
Bits and pieces of Kotaro's past are shown as a form of foreshadowing to some of his unusual habits and moral perceptions, and these flashes creates an emotionally resonant narrative that hits hard on themes of parental negligence and lots of other sensitive real world themes. It's equally as wholesome as it is captivating, and Kotaro is undoubtedly one of the most lovable and well written underaged main characters in anime.

3) YA BOY KONGMING
(Music, Comedy)

Every season has that biggest unexpected gem that just dominates the season despite being unanticipated. Wonder Egg Priority, Vivy- Flourite Eyes Song and Ousama Ranking all did this, and the crown of biggest sleeper hit this season goes to Paripi Koumei.
Zhuge Kongming, known as one of the greatest tacticians of the three kingdoms period of 3rd century China, after successfully navigating several wars, he falls gravely ill, and with his final breath wishes to reincarnate into a peaceful era if he's ever to be reborn.
Well his wish was granted, as Kongming awakens in modern Japan which he initially misconceives as Hell, until he gets captivated by a certain singer, Eiko Tsukimi and her performance.
The two meet and after Eiko properly introduced him to the modern world, he vows to make her dream of being on the big stage come true and using the genius war strategems that got him his title, he helps her overcome every obstacle to success.
Paripi Koumei simply yet another visually stunning masterclass from P.A. Works.
This anime took me by complete surprise by how great it is given how seemingly ridiculous the premise is.
The music production of this anime is at a quality that rivals the absolute best in the genre. From the opening song to the ending song to every single insert song and performance, this show is filled with phenomenal music with beautiful execution that'll no doubt intoxicate every listener.
What's even more spectacular about it is the overall vibe the show gives. From the overwhelming strategic flexes of Kongming to the passionate dialogues between the main duo, to the introduction and proper development of other fun and talented characters, the show provides an irresistibly enchanting experience every week that makes it one of the absolute best this season.

2) SPY X FAMILY
(Action, Comedy)

Okay guys, it's time for the big one.
Undoubtedly the biggest, most popular, most watched and most anticipated new anime this season is none other than the latest Shounen Jump hit, Spy X Family (Pronounced "Spy Family" by the way).
A Spy who made name as the greatest in his agency, only known as 'Twilight', after completing countless missions with his skills and tactfulness is given the mission titled 'Operation Stryx' to which the requirements were for him to live as a family man in the Ostanian city of Berlint.
In fulfillment of this mission, he, now taking the name of Loid Forger, adopts a quirky cute 6 year old child named Anya, unknown to him that she's bears the ability to read minds, and soon after gets married to civil servant Yor, who's secretly an underground assassin referred to as 'Thorn Princess'.
These three live together as The Forgers, a pretend family that exists to fulfill their secret ambitions.
Its always a beautiful thing to see a highly anticipated adaptation that does justice to it's widely loved source material. Studios Wit and Cloverworks, two powerhouse studios whose contributions to the new generation of anime shook the world, partnered up to create this masterclass of an anime show. With impeccable character design, gorgeously animated scenery in both its action and comedy and some of the most beautifully laid out narration in modern anime, it's no surprise this anime became the hype machine and hot topic in the community that it is.
Masterful execution aside, the setting is quite eccentric itself. We've got the awkward trio of a spy, an assassin and a psychic living under one roof as a make believe family while each bearing their own secrets, and this creates some genuinely hilarious scenarios that make it top notch in terms of comedic appeal. The writing is also fantastic. Having 3 strangers live together as a pretend family while slowly evolving into an actual one as their feelings for eachother get stronger with each shared experience is just heartwarming, making this the most wholesome anime currently airing.
Also, before I forget to add, ANYA FORGER IS A QUEEN!.

1) SUMMERTIME RENDERING
(Supernatural, Mystery, Thriller)

With how amazingly adapted Spy X family is and how overwhelmingly popular it is, it's seen by many as Anime of The Season, and that makes sense, but however, in terms of narrative quality and impact, the one anime that has outdone everything else this season in my point of view, is the one and only Summertime Render.
Ajiro Shinpei, who'd been living with the Kotone family and their two daughters, Ushio and Mio since his parents' death, returns from a trip to Tokyo after he was informed of Ushio's death.
Ushio was said to have drowned in an attempt to rescue a little girl, but however bruises found on the corpse's neck by his best friend Sou suggests otherwise.
The mystery behind the cause of Ushio's death is only a part of the many unexplainable events that plagued Hitoshigami Island.
With numerous cases of disappearing people, later discovered to be caused by otherworldly entities known as 'shadows' intent on killing people and taking their forms, Shinpei discovers he's trapped in a time loop of repeated destruction caused by these shadows, and must now use this uncanny ability to carry out Ushio's final wish and protect Mio.
Studio OLM did God's work and adapted a beloved manga in the best possible form.
The plot is as elaborate and immersive as ever, and we are made to feel the full impact of this hard-hitting thriller right from the start. With the titular repeated suffering of the death loop setting Rezero is known for and the unhinged brutality of the death scenes as in Higurashi, all incorporated in this genuinely intriguing mystery, the narrative gives us the best of both worlds, and with elegant visual quality and properly placed mind-bending OSTs, the ambiance of such a setting is captured spectacularly.
Summertime Render is a picture perfect example of what a mystery-thriller anime should be, with the supernatural elements adding that grotesque horror feel to the story. The pacing and storyboarding are both handled impeccably. The mystery builds up in an eloquent fashion, and with lots of masterfully executed plot twists and revelations, it not only leaves you intrigued, but completely stunned in it's high pitched moments. With death lingering at every corner, the stakes are sky high, and the full weight of the intensity is impinged in every episode.
Summertime Render brings out the best of everything it's genre stands for. It's a genuinely thrilling anime that fully captivates you with it's compelling and coherent narrative, while leaving room for lots of surprises along the way.
With a fascinating mystery, flawless character writing and utilization, climactic moments sizzled with intense plot twists and dramatic cliffhangers, it gives a masterful execution of a time loop setting, and a seemlessly impactful episodic experience.
With all the great things this anime has to offer, I hope it's clear why Summertime Rendering is my pick as Anime of the Season, Spring 2022.
Thankfully we're getting a full double-cour run of 24 episodes to fully flesh out the story and I can't wait to see what's coming when the story reaches it's climax.

Among notable new animes this season that didn't make the cut, we've got Tomodachi Game, a pseudo psychological thriller that offers nothing but bland edginess and cringe friendship vibes, trying to force it's thrills through conflicts and dramatic character displays, without giving us enough reasons to care.
We also got two cute fantasy shows, Healer Girl and RPG Real Estate, that while being wholesome through their distinct concepts, fall short in terms of appeal; Chinese power fantasies, The Last Summoner and Rift, that can only pass as dumb fun through their cool fights yet basic and generic stories.
Amongst others that aren't even worth the effort, we've got the latest trash from Crunchyroll, Shin Ikkitousen, that prioritized bland action and ecchi flashes to even attempting a story; Dawn of The Witch and Don't Hurt Me My Healer, both narratively worthless fantasies; Birdie Wing: A Girl's Golf Story and Fanfare of Adolescence, both being cringe and pathetic attempts at sports animes; and In The Hearts of Kunoichi Tsubaki, that makes Takagi creator look unable to succeed in anything outside the teaser slice of life genre.

It's been an extremely long review and I thank you all for your viewership and support. Ensure to watch the recommendations on the list and you're guaranteed to be entertained.
Leave a comment of your thoughts on the animes listed as well as the review itself, and share the link to your friends.
I'll see you next season for another Seasonal Review.

Stay safe guys.
